I gave my “Peek Behind the Scenes” talk at Wingletye ladies’ PROBUS this morning and, unusually, spoke before their meal at the Cranleigh restaurant in Hornchurch. Most often I’ve been required to speak after the meal; this comes with the peril that, replete with food and wine, some fall asleep. There was a good number there, at least 50+. You never know how big the audience is really going to be. At one talk in October there was only 10 people as 4 members were poorly! I love it though that these groups keep going. One more pre-meal talk to Blackwater PROBUS later in the month and then no more talks until January.
