I had a really enjoyable day, shared with an old friend. First a good chat over cheese toasties for lunch before heading off to the Memorial Hall in Sawbridgeworth to give a talk to the U3A.
My friend Kathy asked me if I was ever nervous before a talk, and I said no. However, knowing that she was in the audience did give me a fleeting moment of apprehension. It all went very well, even though I’d been told that some members didn’t attend because of my subject matter. I just wish that people would be more open minded; I believe that the 80 or so attendees enjoyed the talk, even those that didn’t expect to.
One member of the audience had heard me speak previously and had recommended me. It so often happens that way.
Grateful thanks to my good friend Kathy for taking some pictures of me in action.
