Very sadly Leigh (afternoon) WI has cancelled my talk scheduled for 20th July. Not because they are apprehensive about meeting but because they have been unable to contact their venue to find out if they can continue to use it.
A self-confessed “older” WI, the members are keen to resume their convivial meetings. Their speaker secretary told me how disappointed they were to not be able to welcome me to their meeting and how many of their members would not be able to contemplate the complexities of ZOOM.
However, I have been reassured that the invitation will be extended as soon as they are able to confirm access to a venue.
