Finally, my first ZOOM booking! Today I will be talking to Leigh Estuary U3A. Unfortunately their booked speaker had to cancel for reasons to do with furlough. I’m fortunate that I am retired and have not had to worry about losing my “job”. Although I have considered speaking to be my occupation; I have missed it so much during the last months. If that is all that I have to complain about then I am indeed lucky.
I have a WI meeting booked for 20th July and it isn’t clear whether that will go ahead; not least because of government dates but because many people are now reluctant to go out and mix in large groups. I, along with the rest of the world, will just have to be patient.
