Invited back

My last two talks I’ve revisited groups that I’ve previously spoken to. I was amazed to find that it was in October 2014 that I first went to The Daisy Circle in High Easter; in fact it was only the 9th talk that I’d ever given. A lot has changed since then and my talks really bear no resemblance to those early talks. Well over 200 talks later I am now talking about my own experiences and views about Ballet, promoting it only as an exciting art form and a wonderful way to keep supple and fit, and, more importantly giving talks to fund-raise for the MS Society. Fast forward to 2019 when I visited the 95 Club for Today’s Woman in Sudbury. Talks have been sparse over the past two years of course but clubs are beginning to re-open. So many, like the 95 club in Sudbury have changed to afternoon meetings, giving them problems finding suitable, available venues. My re-invitation was for their inaugural meeting post lock-down. Their venue is a quaint building, called The Jetty, in Quay Lane. After my talk, it being a beautiful day, I wandered past the Sudbury Rowing Club and the “Garage” down to the Stour. The pictures speak for themselves. A fairly long drive, but a very pleasant afternoon.
