Halstead U3A is a lovely group. The morning opened with a plea to the members to take on roles as officers, roles that could be shared between members, as long as one person was prepared to be “the name” for administrative purposes. A shame if noone comes forward. 120 members will have to find an alternative to the many activities and clubs. That aside, it was a very enjoyable morning for me. The talk was very well recieved. I have some superb photographs in my presentation and the daughter of one of the photographers introduced herself to me and said he asked to be remembered to me. A familiar face from a different local club also came to say hello. Sometimes I consider giving up and then I have a day like today.
