Anisha Grange

  • by

I went back to Anisha Grange last week for St Ex’s second outing. The first lovely, sunny, warm day of the year and residents all had cabin fever and wanted to go out in the garden rather than be indoors. I could see them all wandering about in the garden. A lot of family members came too to take their loved one out. In all I had an audience of 4 residents, 2 carers and one special friend.

It was a strange but lovely experience. Her presence was particularly poignant. She wanted to hear about St Exupéry, the subject of my talk, to bring back happy memories of her husband with whom I started studying in 1987. I was so happy for her to be there; it meant a great deal. After the talk she gave me her husband’s copy of “The Little Prince” which made us both cry.
