I visited Orsett WI in October 2017 and am pleased to have been invited back. I know that a friend will be in the audience too.
When I was booked, the speaker secretary wasn’t sure which talk that she wanted me to give. There was even a suggestion that it might be my new talk. However, I checked early last week and the committee decided that they wanted “A Peek Behind the Scenes” again. Now, it is a very different talk to the one that I gave just over 7 years ago. At that time I was promoting the amateur company, of which I was Chair, that I danced with. The object was getting the name out there and getting “bums on seats” for their performances.
This talk now is all about my own experiences and raising money for charity: the MS Society. There might be one or two photographs that have been seen previously but, as I can’t remember what I did last week, my hope is that the good women of Orsett won’t remember them.
