Finally I had a return visit to Danbury Eve’s Corner WI, after a mix up last year. They were kind enough to let me talk before their business and I’m pleased that they did: there was rather a lot, some of which I heard as I was packing up. I must be getting old as I really prefer not to have to drive home late in the evening.
The next night I went to South Woodham Ferrers. It was absolutely tipping it down and I had to park in the public car park. They were very keen for me to bring my screen as the one on site is apparently very temperamental. Well it was. It disappeared on two occasions, but, with encouragement from the remote I managed to complete my talk without resorting to using my own screen. Domestic ones also have a mind of their own.
