In over 50 yesrs that I’ve lived in Brentwood I’ve only been to Childerditch 3 times that I remember. It’s a fairly rural area sandwiched between Brentwood town and the A127. I wasn’t expecting to see so many woment there. I hoped that it was a keen interest to hear me talk rather than it was too wet to go out in the garden.
A really friendly welcome and a very engaged audience. One woman was a visitor from Australia; she came to talk to me afterwards so I was able to tell her how much I’d enjoyed “Jewels” performedby the Australian Ballet last Saturday at the Royal Opera House. I also chatted to a woman who had lived in Denmark and had seen the Royal Danish Ballet perform Napoli. I’ve not met anyone that had seen this ballet performed before, and neither had she, so she was really interested in the slides that I showed.
