High County Ladies

  • by

On the coldest day of the year (so far) and with snow falling, the High County Ladies turned out to hear my talk “A Peek Behind the Scenes”. It’s a small group, that had once been a WI, and in a very rural area, so I wasn’t expecting a huge crowd.

I told them that their name sounds very posh but they were a lovely welcoming group and very attentive. Usually, at least one person falls asleep, but today not a single person did. I did impart this piece of information and one of the audience said perhaps it was because it was so cold! Thanks!

I donate my speaker fee to charity and my chosen charity is The MS Society. It’s a charity close to my heart and I’ve been supporting it for some time; for the first time, to my knowledge, a member of the audience had MS. She told me this afterwards and was moved by my talk.
